Maniac Mansion was one of the most important video games in the graphic adventure genre, and precursor to a golden age for the LucasArts studio. The original version used an old interface, based on selecting written commands, but this remake uses the SCUMM system, and improves the graphics using a palette of 256 colors instead of the original 16.
In the game you have to rescue Sandy from the clutches of the evil Doctor Edison and his family, entering its gigantic mansion with a group of friends, led by Dave, Sandy's boyfriend. Throughout your adventure you can discover the secrets that the mansion hides. Among other characters, you can find the famous color tentacles.
Without a doubt, Maniac Mansion Remake is an essential title if you want to go back to old times, both if you didn't have the chance to play the original, and if you want to replay it with a new look.
